Description

The principle of the Schuett Homgenplus grinding-type micro homogenizer is that the grinding pestle rotates inside the homogenizing tube to achieve separation, mixing, disruption and homogenization. It features low speed, high torque and noiseless operation. It is suitable for the preparation of precious micro samples such as DNA/RNA, proteins and organelles in laboratories of biology, medicine, environmental science, agronomy and other disciplines.

Application

Preparation of trace precious samples such as DNA/RNA, proteins and organelles in laboratories of biology, medicine, environmental science, agronomy and other disciplines.

Product Description

Homogenising without much effort. For gentle homogenising of sensitive biological samples and tough tissue.

Supplied complete with speed-stabilized drive-unit and universal quick-grip chuck, transparent cooling vessel, 1000 ml, made from clear polycarbonate, with screw-cap and clamping adapter for the centered positioning of homogenising vessels of different sizes.

Highly stable and vibration-free due to robust 3-support-construction. High torque drive unit makes it very suitable for use a low speeds. Electronic rotational speed control variable from 40-3.000 rpm.

Reproducible homogenising thanks to constant rotational speed, which is shown on an easy to read 4-digit LED-display. The fast-action clamping chuck with hollow shaft permits fast and easy replacement of the pestle and permits use of pestles with longer shafts. We highly recommend the use of a quick-grip clamp for glass pestles to minimize lateral burdening of the glass shaft. Clamping adapters of the cooling vessel suitable for EPPENDORF® test tubes and homogeniser vessels with outer diameter of 10 to 40 mm. Handy cooling of the samples by ice, which can easily be filled into the cooling vessel after opening the screw cap.

The homogenising vessel is tightly clamped and moved up and down together with the table and the cooling jacket. The long lever facilitates thorough homogenising without much effort.

The unit can also be supplied modified for use under a sterile workbench when operating with infectious substances. Please contact us for further details.
