FEATURE
EasyQuest‑TR Auto Transmission‑Reflection Tester is a benchtop UV‑Vis spectrophotometer specially developed for transmission and specular‑reflection spectrum measurement of solid‑state samples. Based on proven spectrophotometry principle and Lambert‑Beer Law, it delivers qualitative and quantitative optical analysis across UV‑Vis and partial near‑infrared bands. It serves as an all‑in‑one testing solution for material R&D, incoming‑goods quality inspection and laboratory analysis.
Working on relative‑measurement principle, the unit integrates monochromator, combined deuterium‑halogen light source and silicon photodiode detector. Equipped with dedicated reflection test fixture, it enables quick switch between Transmission Mode and Reflection Mode without modifying main hardware. For reflection measurement, the supplied high‑reflectance reference mirror is mandatory for baseline calibration. Transmission mode uses air as reference baseline. One‑click software recalibration of spectral energy is required after switching modes to eliminate optical path deviation and guarantee reliable, comparable measurement results between different test configurations.
Full automatic self‑diagnosis routine is built‑in. Upon power‑on, the instrument automatically runs hardware check for optical filter and monochromator. A 20‑minute pre‑heat is strongly recommended to achieve thermal stability of light source and optical system, minimizing measurement drift caused by temperature fluctuation. Once baseline calibration is finished and test fixture remains unchanged, calibrated baseline settings can be stored for 0.5‑1 year. Re‑calibration on every connection is not required, which greatly shortens preparation time and improves lab throughput.
The supporting professional Reflection_Test spectrum analysis software runs on Windows PC and communicates with instrument via USB‑232 (USB‑to‑Serial) interface. Bilingual Chinese / English UI is provided for global‑operator convenience. Two core measuring methods are available: full‑wavelength spectrum scan and fixed‑point single‑wavelength test. Spectrum scan outputs complete transmittance or reflectance curve to visualize wavelength‑dependent optical properties of materials. Fixed‑point test reads precise transmittance or reflectance value at user‑defined wavelength for fast batch sample comparison.
Twelve independent data channels are available inside software. Each channel allows separate setup of start wavelength, end wavelength and scan interval. Multiple sample datasets can be saved and spectrum graphs can be overlaid for direct comparison, helping researchers identify spectral differences among samples with varied formulas or manufacturing processes. Test spectrograms can be previewed, saved and printed. Raw measurement data is stored as nMao file format, which can be imported into Microsoft Excel for further calculation, charting and statistics to generate research or QC reports.
This tester fits a wide variety of solid samples: optical glass, coated lenses, optical filters, AR/AF coating, Low‑E architectural glass, polymer thin‑films, plastic sheets, gemstones and antique ornaments. It is also capable of routine spectral analysis for chemical raw materials, environmental specimens, food and biological samples. Ideal for factory QC laboratories, university research labs, third‑party testing institutes and new‑material development enterprises.
