Hellma 105-202-85-40 is original German-manufactured ultra-micro absorption cell made of Suprasil® QS high-purity fused quartz glass. It features black self-masking coating on side walls and base, effectively eliminating stray light interference for UV-Vis-NIR photometric measurement of extremely small volume samples.

Optical center height Z=8.5 mm, compatible with spectrophotometers with 8.5mm beam height. Dual precision-polished optical windows ensure stable, highly repeatable absorbance data. Glue-free thermal fusion construction avoids organic leaching and sample contamination. Equipped with PTFE sealing stopper to prevent evaporation of precious micro samples. Optimized for life science, biochemistry and pharmaceutical research requiring minimal sample consumption.

Take our cuvette windows, for example, which boast outstanding quality and a flatness tolerance of more than 0.001 mm (1 μm). The parallelism of both window surfaces relative to one another is just as important. Our high-precision production guarantees that the frontal deformation of the wave of a cuvette window is less than 4 lambda, which works out at approximately 0.001 mm (1 μm) if lambda = 546 nm. The high level of flatness demonstrates that the cuvettes from Hellma Analytics are setting standards. Overall, an ideal foundation for conducting reliable, reproducible and exact measurements.
